How To Stay Organized During The Holidays

I would like to say my house is more organized than chaotic right now, but that would be a lie. As I sit here typing this post, I am surveying my living room and it is frightful. I thought the weather outside was supposed to be frightful, not the inside of my house! I have rolls and rolls of wrapping paper spilling out from under the desk, the cats are eating my tissue paper and the kids are shoving pieces of paper with last minute gift ideas for themselves under my nose. HELP! I need to get myself out of the disarray and into a more manageable state. Here is how I am going to do it:

4 Tips For Staying Organized During The Holidays

4 Tips For Staying Organized During The Holidays

  1. Christmas Cards: As much as sending cards is a large part of many people’s holiday to-do list, it can be stressful buying or making and sending them. Consider sending e-cards this year to cut down on your postage bill and time spent at the post office.
  2. Cooking: Instead of sending hours in the kitchen this year, think about letting someone cater the meal. Many larger grocery store chains as well as HoneyBaked hams has affordable meal plans for the holiday dinner.
  3. Wrapping: Instead of using traditional paper wrap for your gifts, consider using your kid’s artwork, used newspapers or cloth bags. Print your own gift tags to save even more money from your holiday budget.
  4. Keep A To-do List: I am a list maker, and if I do not have one, it gives me a stomach ache! I try to use a more eco-friendly method to making my lists by using dry erase instead of paper.
