Get Your Tweens To Show Up For Family Game Night

What a bittersweet time in your life as a parent when your child moves from a baby to a tween right before your eyes! It seems just a few short years ago the kids were hardly tall enough to reach the sink to brush their teeth. Now I have a child that will be getting her learner’s permit this year! Where did the time go? Because kids get so much more independent as they get older, it is hard to get them to hang out with the family. I decided to find some fun games they would still want to play for family game night. I hit the jackpot when I discovered all the amazingly fun games for kids of all ages from Patch Prodcuts.

Games Your Tweens Will Play On Family Game Night

Patch got their start in 1971, when Leisure Suits and saying “groovy” were still trending. Fran and Bryce Patch, two brothers, began a commercial printing business where they printed the likes of Trivial Pursuit game boards and sticker books for Cabbage Patch Dolls. 14 years later, the siblings began to print their own products and entered the kid’s market with their line of PuzzlePatch® puzzles. Fast forward to now and they are making foam balls, games like Farkle Frenzy®, Malarky® and the clever Planet Sock Monkey™ soft dolls. We were sent two great games for tweens and the kids cannot get enough of them! Flash & Furious®, which sells for $35.99 on the Patch Products website, is a fast paced electronic game that will keep you on your toes. You ask everyone a question and they think it will be a no brainer to answer. That is until the random 2-second flasher gets going, and then you draw a blank! This is one of those games that will get you laughing so hard you may pee a little in your pants!

The second game, a favorite of Caitlin and I, is The Game of Things®, which you can buy for $39.99 from Patch Products. This game is great because it gets your creative juices flowing and there is no right or wrong answer. Someone reads the topic card and then you write down your response. Then you turn in your answers and the select person reads the answers out loud and the group tries to guess who said what. It is so funny trying to decide if mom or dad or brother or sister said the absurd things that are written down. This makes for a great party game and we cannot wait to play it when my oldest comes to visit at Christmas!

One USA reader will win The Game of Things® ($39.99)
